The annual event known as VidCon continues! A quick recap of the best moments of VidCon2011. VidCon is an online video conference held in Los Angeles yearly. The event brings together both stars and fans of online video for a single weekend of awesomeness unlike anything that has ever been seen.

What happens when the star of MakeMeBad35 joins Jake and his friend in one epic adventure? During VidCon2011 this crossing of paths finally takes place. Watch to find out what happens.

VidCon is an online video convention held in Los Angeles annually. This is the second year the event is taking place and I’ll be going! This years vidcon is behind held July 28th – 30th. If you see me while there you MUST come up and say hi! In this video I talk about VidCon and a lot of random.

Put two ice cubes in your mouth and hold them there as long as you can. That was the challenge. Sounds pretty simple right? Well it wasn’t! It ended up being much more difficult then I expected but I pushed on through and completed this challenge! More (difficult) challenges to come soon!

I’ve set it up so that The launch of this site coincides with the start of my weekly videos. It’s sort of a Jake Ember Overhaul. In a way I’m starting over but at the same time I’m keeping everything I’ve learned in the last few years. This “Jake Ember Overhaul” (let’s call it JEO) includes three things:

1) Brand New Website!

The homepage of this site is a way to keep in touch with everything me. It includes every one of my videos along with many different ways to contact me. At the very top, there are 6 featured videos (usually my most recent) which are constantly rotating so that you can stay updated on my latest videos simply by browsing my home page. Below this, there are eight icons which represent the 8 categories of this site: Sketches (short films), Vlogs, Trips (places I’ve gone), Old, (old videos which I haven’t privated yet.. ), Behind the Scenes, Bloopers, Other and Blog. You can figure out what the first 7 categories are but I’ll explain the last one. This is my new blog! It’s what you’re reading right now this second. I’m gonna start writing short (or long) blog posts every now and then just to let you know what I’m up to. If I need to say anything that isn’t in video form it will be right here. Below the categories section are all my videos! You can either click the picture itself which will pull up the video without switching pages, or you can click the title which will allow you to read more about the video. To the right of this are the other ways you can keep in touch with me and, of course, a donation button (hint, hint).

2) Weekly Videos

The biggest part of JEO is my new weekly videos. From now on I’m going to be putting up new videos every Saturday around 3pm. It won’t be the same thing every week though. Some weeks I might be putting up a sketch but sometimes I might make a simple vlog. It all depends on how I’m feeling that week, so be sure to subscribe to me so you can be one of  the first so see my new videos!

3) Outro

This is a small one but still a little important. I created a new outro that will go along with all my new weekly videos. Let me know what you think in the comments!

A collab video with Conslogsstv, TylerRBack and NBB65. Each of us showed off our most epic shirts and hoodies in a so called epic manner. I did a stop motion video to show my mars argo, livelavalive, helvetica and vidcon shirts. UPDATE: I won the contest.

A man wakes up at 3 in the morning to a ring of his doorbell. He gets up only to find a package saying “Listen For The Call.” After receiving the call, he is sent on a mysterious mission to deliver the package to the next recipient. Will he safely get the package to the destination? Watch to find out!

This video was the final result of 12 hours of filming and 32 hours of editing. It was my first time using my new Canon 60D so I’m sure with a little practice the results could have been a little better but I had to start somewhere. For example, I realize the fight scene was.. let’s just say mediocre. It was my first time choreographing one and it didn’t work out too well.. But watch and ENJOY!

This is a clip from a video made for my school’s talent show. The actors are friends from school from Mcdonaldspie and The Real Bromance and it was directed by me.  The full video consisted of many short films all mixed together and this ended up being the best one. In all, this video took about 30 minutes to film and about 1 hour to edit. So it wasn’t one of the hardest ones I’ve ever made but it’s probably my favorite. Some MAJOR color correction went into this video to make it look the way it does.
