Jake Ember is a 15 year old filmmaker from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He creates short films and vlogs for YouTube. Jake started creating videos in the summer of 2008 at the age of 12. He was inspired by other filmmakers on YouTube such as Livelavalive, Charles Trippy and many more. Once he decided to start making videos he bought a canon ZR850, a tripod and nothing else. This was also about the time he got his first Mac. With these things, Jake created his first film called The Juniper House. This was a short film filmed without any pre production and limited editing using iMovie. Since this film, Jake has upgraded to a Canon 60D and a flip ultra HD. He also now uses Final Cut Pro for all editing. He has also gotten much more into the actual production part of film making such as scripting, planning and editing the films instead of simply going out and filming. He mainly creates short comedy films and vlogs but is beginning to branch out into action films as well.
Jake has over 70,000 views on his YouTube videos and over 1,200 subscribers. He is an active part of the internet and you can connect with him through YouTube, Twitter, Dailybooth, Facebook and Formspring.
